About Viewmont

There are 514 students currently enrolled at Viewmont Elementary, home of the Bears.  We offer a nurturing and challenging curriculum at Pre-K through fifth grades.  Our staff members strive to be educational leaders within a diverse environment who teach content relative to real-world use, facilitate the learning of our students, and reflect on their teaching practices.  Caring and dedicated staff members, parents and community volunteers work together for the academic success and character development of our students.  There are currently 25 homeroom classrooms, with several specialized instruction classrooms throughout the school (resource, speech-language, English as a second language, academically and intellectually gifted, guidance).  Art, physical education, music, and library classes are offered weekly in grades K-5th.  Technology instruction in our computer lab is also part of the weekly schedule for our students.  We have a gym/multipurpose room, cafeteria, media center, two equipped playgrounds, and an instructional kitchen.  We offer several clubs and extra-curricular activities before and after school hours for our students.
