Jennifer Love - Speech/Language Therapy

Jennifer Love

Welcome to our 2023-2024 school year in the speech and language therapy classroom!

Hi!   I am Jennifer Love, Speech-Language Pathologist for
Viewmont Elementary School.

I am a native of NC and received both my bachelor's and master's degrees at Western Carolina University.   I hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), my NC License in Speech-Language Pathology from the NC Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, and hold a certification as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS).   This is my 28th year of providing speech and language therapy services at Viewmont Elementary.  I also serve on the Autism Diagnostic and Support Team for the HPS district.  In addition, I am the Director and  a coach for our Viewmont Dance Company.

My goal and mission for my students is that they become better communicators.  I want them to be able to effectively share their thoughts, feelings and ideas with others and understand the intentions and directions of those around them.

I'm so excited to start the 2023-2024 school year in Hickory Public Schools and look forward to a great year!
