Welcome to Ms. Walter's Class Webpage!

A little information about myself...I have three beautiful, brilliant children, the oldest is Cooper, he is 14 years old, Eli is 11, and the youngest is Beatrice, and she is 10 years old! My children are my most important things, so know when you send your children to school everyday, I realize you feel the same as I do.  Once I have a child in my classroom, they become my kids forever!

This is my 22nd year of teaching.   I have taught many different grades levels over the years… 7th, 5th, 6th, 2nd, 4th, and 1st!  My favorite subject to teach is Mathematics!  I am a product of the Catawba County Schools.  I went to elementary school at Webb A. Murray Elementary School, then to Arndt Middle School, and graduated from St. Stephens High School in 1995.  I continued my education at Western Carolina University and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Middle School Mathematics. 

My mother and Grandmother are my inspiration, as they were both wonderful teachers!  My mother taught school for over 38 years!  She continued to substitute for many years, because she loved the students as much as I do! Mom passed away in January of 2021 and I think about her everyday...especially in my classroom, where she loved to help and care for my students!  There are so many things that she had a hand in making or helping me create for my classroom...she is the reason I strive to be the best teacher I can be!
