Dual Language Immersion Program

Our Dual Language Immersion Program in Mrs. Creger's and Mrs. Escobar's Kindergarten classes has been very successful this year!  Ask us about the Dual Language Immersion program continuing at Viewmont Elementary School for the 2020-2021 school year.  Program enrollment is for rising kindergarten students. Dual language classes are bilingual classes where native-English speakers and native-Spanish speakers learn together with the goal of being proficient in both languages.  If you are interested in learning more, please call our office to request more information or speak with someone about this exciting program and opportunity for rising kindergarten students.

 Please register new students
at Viewmont as soon as possible.

We are awaiting news from the NC Governor later this month as to the plans for the opening of school for the 2020-2021 school year.
In the meantime, Hickory Public Schools and Viewmont Elementary will continue to enthusiastically prepare for the new school year. Whether we return full time with social distancing, 50/50 capacity/alternate days, or with remote learning, we are committed to making every child's learning and school experience safe, fun, positive and successful!
Please stay tuned for updates as we receive news and plans in the upcoming weeks.
